Peace Offering

What more is there to want from life?
Than a life that is solely lived peaceful
For when a man entirely becomes calm
To others he is like a balm
And to himself entirely blissful
And able to avoid needless strife

What more is there to want from life?
Than the love and revering serenity brings
For a serene man ceases to complain or flare
For in fussiness he is prone to err
But in serenity he is seen as lord of the rings
And as a peacemaker becomes a child in the afterlife

Find peace within and people will love you
Cos a calm man is always loved
Loved for his tranquil heart and sweet temper
For in storm he is like a rock that gives shelter
And when in tempests can never be shoved
For a serene life is cool and quiet like a drop of dew

Find peace within and people will love you
Cos a serene life is friendly and generous
In a sunny and dry land it is like a shade-giving tree
That continues to give shade even when watered with pee
Having a quietude that appears timorous
And a soothing effect that can woo

Like the Savior you ought not to fret
For even in the storm He was still asleep
And peace be still was all He said when He arose
His voice the storm obeyed like a sheep
And His power the storm could not oppose
For inner peace brings no regret

Like the Savior you ought not to fret
For there is power in calmness
Whatever condition or wherever you may be
Set your mind to be free
Follow peace with great firmness
And you will never get upset

Follow peace with all men
Become yourself, a peacemaker
For you shall be called His child
And in peace-making you become mild
So then make your life an alter
And to it peace offerings shall follow, Amen!
